The world of Lost has changed dramatically in this episode. With only a few more episodes left, it's quickly heading towards the final confrontation. (57:18)

"I wish you had believed me"
Is what Jack said to Locke in the Candidate.
It is also what Locke wrote to Jack in his suicide note.

Great job with the Lost episodes!

You mentioned a theory that Jack is Jacob reincarnated after the explosion, the way that Locke is the MIB. One thing that seems to contradict this is the episode where Jack goes to the lighthouse and smashes everything after Jacob convinces Hurley to bring him over. If Jack was just Jacob posing as Jack, then why would he have gone so crazy in the lighthouse? Also why would the ghost of Jacob tell Hurley he needed Jack to come to the lighthouse in order to believe he was special?

I believe they meant the explosion in episode 13 rather than the detonation of the bomb at the end of season 5. Hence Jack was "reborn" with the boat being his coffin

On the "It's Always Sunny" connection.

As far as I know, The actor who plays Dennis has never been on LOST like was commented. The actor who plays Mac on Sunny played Aldo in S3 and S6 episodes, not a character named Mac.

I love both shows, but I think this guess was more than a bit out there.

Just getting caught up and was listening to the podcast on my way to work. I've only barely gotten into it, but I wanted to correct a little thing that Pants mentioned at the beginning. On finale night, they aren't rebroadcasting the series premiere again. Instead they are doing a two hour retrospective, followed by the finale, followed by the Kimmel show. Here's the deets from Entertainment Weekly...

"A total of five-and-a-half hours of Lost programming will be broadcast on that Sunday night: A two-hour retrospective special/clip show, Lost: The Final Journey, will precede the finale, from 7 to 9 p.m.; Jimmy Kimmel Live!: Aloha to Lost will run after the finale and local news, starting at 12:05 a.m."

As I said, I'm only a couple of minutes in. Maybe you guys correct yourselves as you go along... in which case, I'll look kinda goofy. smile.gif

The last I remember of Rose and Bernard on the Island was that they had no intention of leaving due to Rose's cancer so I'm saying they are living peacefully somewhere on the Island.

Jamie - Was the montage of all the previous Doctor faces in the first 11th Doctor episode when he was facing off the alien invaders not enough of a nod to the previous incarnations? I saw a recent photo of Colin Baker and he is almost unrecognizable from his Doctor period! Tom Baker is also much heavier, white-haired and nothing like his Doctor look. I don't think they can do a Three Doctors or Five Doctors episode with those guys any more unless they cast look-a-likes which they had to do for the first Doctor after Hartnell died. Peter Davison, maybe, McCoy, haven't seen him lately so maybe, McGann maybe, same caveat.

Love the LOST episodes. I'll miss listening to them almost as much as I'll miss the show.

This is the recent photo of Colin Baker. A caricature colleague (Adam Hanson, standing with Baker) did this drawing of him and got a photo of them both with the drawing.
