I got to second Bamf Bamf in being jealous, sometimes i wonder if you guys realise how cheap your getting your comics for. Cheap comics here in australia is rarer then a good handjob from captain hook.

Hope you guys have a good time, best of luck to the wild pig guys on this new endevour, one day in my travels i hope to make it to one. but hey it wouldn't hurt to take this wild pig con internatinal would it?

FYI Novi rhymes with "Eye". I am looking forward to my hometown con but I am saving more money for Summit City. And Pants there is a Golden Corral about 15-20 minutes away from MotorCity Con. smile.gif

Add me to the chorus of Books of Doom as a must read Doom. I had the issues then found it in HC for $5 and gave the issues away.

I'm part way through the episode right now (taking a lunch break at work). This episode makes me wonder... WHY DON'T I HAVE MORE MONEY! Doesn't help that I'm going the opposite direction on the same weekend for a wedding in Pittsburgh PA.

I'm STILL trying to gather up all the issues of this series before reading them... I picked up most of them from Wild Pig sales, oddly enough... but still need to find 3 and 5. Maybe this weekend, if I go.

Plain and straight, this weekend is going to be pure comic insanity. Thanks in advance to Chris, Danielle, and the Wild Pig Crew. I'm bringing the Mrs. to the convention, too. She is excited to meet everyone! We are making it a weekend. Strangely enough, it was two WPig sales ago, I believe, that we ended up taking a detour to the Frazetta Museum. I'll be thinking of that a lot this weekend, especially with Frank's passing.

If someone sees The Newsboy Legion HC by Simon and Kirby, grab it for me in case I get trampled at the door. Thanks yall. Safe travels this weekend!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!. We are really gearing up for a great weekend.

If anyone is coming to the show from PA via Route 78, there is a Jack Kirby exhibit at the Hunterdon County Art Museum in Clinton, NJ. This is the last weekend that it will be there. My wife and I went 2 weeks ago and, while a small exhibit, it was still neat to see original Kirby pages.

Any last minute questions, let me know.

Great episode, and the fact I can't be there at the open on Saturday CRUSHES me sad.gif

But I am trying very hard to make it on Sunday with the kiddos. Chris (or Ryan), is it $5 per person including Lil kids, or do they get in for free?

Also, I have to say listening back to the episode, as the geeks were reminiscing about how much money they spent, all I could think was "chump change." smile.gif I am proud to say after hearing that episode I've spent more than all of the CGS cast combined at these sales.

It's $5 per person, but kids under 12 are free.

Hope to see you again!

Great, thanks Ryan. I can't see not being there. Just wouldn't be right to miss a Wild Pig weekend, even if I'm going to miss all the good trade sales. One question though, is Chris going to have an expanded Wall as well? I know he usually keeps some wall books in the back b/c they're just too choice to sell at 50% off, and I'm sure he'll continue to do that (understandably), but will he have more wall stuff than we're used to?

Damn. Just saying that you spent more than Pants would've been impressive. laughingsmiley.gif

There will be more books on the wall because there are no more regular back-issues. All of the boxes that used to be on the left side of the store along the wall was assimilated into the 50-cent bins with a some exceptions. Those books handful of books that were too good to put into the 50-cent boxes were promoted to wall books.

while he wasn't mentioned Id encourage people to check out David Willis from Shortpacked!.com, one of my favourite webcomics. David started out doing a comic called "Roomies" which evolved into shortpacked which is what got him to be well known. he has a very fun cartoony style and some truly awesome jokes in his comic (Which is about a toystore called Shortpacked and its crazy staff) which i'm a huge fan of.

worth checking out
