Met Mr Hack/Slash at c2e2 and he was an amazing great and nice guy.

He was great with my son and did a awesome Pokemon sketch of Regigas for him.

Top notch guy and it was a great interview, guys.

Can't wait to listen to this ep. with Tim. I've been a big fan of his work, and I've got just about everything Hack/Slash related. If you haven't read the series before, give the relaunch at Image a try.

Does anyone know what the deal is with issues 12 and 13 of Hack/Slash? I've pre-ordered the two Omnibus' but according to comicbookdb those two issues are not included. (the second omnibus collects issues 1-11 and 14-17)

12 and 13 was a crossover with BUMP. The non-crossover parts of the issues are in the omnibus.

I'm pretty positive that I was once listening to an old CGS episode where Bryan Deemer goes "Who is Tim Seeley?". I'll see if I can find it, because Tim seems to be an awesome guy.

I've been trying to spread the H/S love ever since I first came on this site as I've been reading H/S since "Girls Gone Dead" and I always get a Seeley sketch at any con he's at. The guy's awesome.

I'm very certain I hadn't heard of the comic and/or confused it with the manga until the announcement of the Image relaunch, and I'll definitely give the first issue a shot. smile.gif

Thanks for the info. Do you know if those issues are collected elsewhere or do I need to hunt down the single issues?

Looks like it's hunting time for you. Don't trust me too much though, I've only gone by what's on the link.

It's great to see all the Hack/Slash love but don't forget he's also the regular artist on Wildcats and has been churning out some amazing and highly detailed pages very fast. You don't see very many artists that can draw 60 or 70 characters on a page while maintaining a monthly title.

Solid episode with a great guest. Alright, I've got some ass-kissing and gushing I've got to get out of the way.

1. Colt Noble - picked this up from Tim at ECCC and loved it. Ended so abruptly and left me wanting more. Would love to see Tim both write and draw a few more chapters. The scenes where Archfiend is lounging at the goth girl's apartment = priceless.

2. Hack Slash - I plowed through the 2 omnibuses last year. I started buying the singles around Issue #16 or so. I really hope that everyone gives the new Image relaunch a try. I've got a great LCS in Vienna, VA and they carry almost everything, but they didn't carry the DDP issues of H/S. Kinda sucks. I got an awesome commission of Cassie Hack from Erik Jones at SuperShow. He'll be doing the variant cover for Issue #2.

But very enjoyable episode. Thanks for help passing the late nights at work. The Cobra Commander/Destro story had me laughing at my desk.

Peace.

I got to "seat-warm" for Seeley at last year's Cactus-Con here in Phoenix to push Thugs whenever he'd go do a panel. Hell of a nice guy and was the first sketch in my Green Lantern sketchbook I'd just started. I'd never read Hack/Slash (not a big horror movie fan unless it's zombies) before meeting him but solely based on the brief time I spent talking to him, I've become hooked on it. Next time I see him I'm getting a "Pooch" sketch.

Good show, guys. Seeley is always an entertaining podcast guest, and it was good to get a long interview with him here. Also, his pitch for Hack/Slash made me realize that I never gave it to my wife to try, but as she is a Buffy/True Blood/zombie/monster fan, I think she would dig it. I will have to hand that first omnibus over to her at some point.

I don't often post sell-out announcements but in this case, it means something:

HACKING AND SLASHING TO A SELL OUT
HACK/SLASH: MY FIRST MANIAC #1 sells out at the distribution level

Tim Seeley's first release since bringing cult classic Hack/Slash to Image Comics -- HACK/SLASH: MY FIRST MANIAC #1 (of 4) -- is officially sold out at the distribution level. Image Comics is taking it to press for a second printing.

"I'm so pleased that Image gave me a chance to reach a whole new audience," exclaims Seeley. "Thank you readers, new and old!"

"We're thrilled that Hack/Slash is getting the attention it deserves," adds Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson. "Tim & co. are doing stellar work on this book, and with a new ongoing slated for the end of this year, we hope to create an ever-growing audience for Hack/Slash."

HACK/SLASH: MY FIRST MANIAC is an all-new miniseries that explores Cassie's first case! 16-year-old Cassie Hack has just been forced to kill her mother, the undead murderer known as the Lunch Lady! Now faced with overwhelming guilt, she must decide if she can make a life with her foster parents or use her new-found slasher killing skills to save other screaming teenagers! But does the apple fall far from the tree?

HACK/SLASH: MY FIRST MANIAC #1 Second Printing (MAY108016), a 32-page full-color comic book for $3.50, will be available July 14, 2010, the same day as HACK/SLASH: MY FIRST MANIAC #2 (MAY100478).
