As God as my witness I said Martin Landau!! It's the eyebrows.

Also the Heroes Con ad bugs me that my local con Motor City charges $10 bucks for kids under 12 to attend. $20 for a three day pass. It would be nice if the three day adult was a little cheaper than $45. That's why I volunteer now to get in free. Work 4 hours and enjoy all three days. Looking forward to Summit City!

I would be interested in a Guns of Shadow Valley HC (my eyes are weak to read page after page on a PC screen). I enjoy Jonah Hex tpbs/HC/showcase so I would welcome another quality western comic.

IIRC it's not entirely clear if Justine is Justin Hammer's daughter. She was originally one of the Thunderbolts' arch-villains, the Crimson Cowl (hence her wardrobe in Invincible Iron Man), and she didn't look quite as old as she does in Iron Man. I think from her appearances in Thunderbolts, we've only really got her word for her heritage.

IIRC, I think the whole "Tony tries to undo the damage of years' worth of arms manufacturing" meme originally kicked off in the Warren Ellis/Adi Granov "Extremis" mini, which they then went on to incorporate into the movie. So it's not quite a "tail wagging the dog" situation if it comes back into the comic from the movie, maybe more like "the dog wagging the tail which then wags right back." smile.gif

i'm looking forward to listening to the episode, but was avoiding reading Iron Man 25 until after reading the last issue of siege next week. i didn't want to get spoiled as Marvel's been known to do that....often. can someone tell me whether or not Iron man 25 spoils Siege? (before i listen to the ep)

There wasn't anything in that issue that related back to Siege 4. Unless you count that Iron Man and Thor are still alive after the event. lol. Nothing else is talked about that is Siege-related.

Well there is also the news reports on one page.

As for the film following the movie as others have pointed out its not the case. its been done many times before. However this time around his making his Repulser tech public! thats big! anyone who reads iron man nows that Repulser tech is a close secret that tony keeps. that is a big thing in history for iron man

Also Pants i gotta ask, to much talking heads and not enough of him in suite? isn't the only ongoing marvel book you read Daredevil where they go issues with out him in the suite and lots of talking heads? lol laughingsmiley.gif

I think it's pretty much a character beat that they repeat every 7 years or so. In fact I wonder just how much arms manufacturing Stark has actually done post-Michelinie/Layton. They moved it on from Iron Man and Stark helping the US Government vs. EVIL COMMIES, to making him the anti-establishment businessman that Fraction's revived.

There seemed to be some question in the podcast as to how Dave and I write "The Guns of Shadow Valley" together. Dave and I have meetings over Skype discussing the broad outlines and story structure. From there, Dave outlines each chapter and we’ve each taken turns scripting. Script re-writes and suggestions for changes get passed back and forth. Sometimes we belabor over a single word of dialog before it feels right.

Is it me, or are a ton of Marvel books that are butchered by artwork? Unfortunately their are more Greg Lands at Marvel than Steve Epting.

For example, the coloring on Iron Man and the uneven Larocca art (can he at least he his photo reference straight? It looks like their are two models for the same person) ruins an otherwise great story.

Thank you for adding webcomics to your Off the Rack! I know once the portable readers take off and become a device for everyone, you'll be having a spin off From the Pad or something.

Here's hoping the Eisner voters give Guns of the Shadow Valley that shiny award! Woohoo!
