When Peter was talking about Des pulling Living Locke out of the sideways uni and onto the island, I wondered what if Smokey used Sideways Locke to escape the island and set up shop in the sideways timeline?

I am becoming more convinced that the island will be sunk and the character's consciousnesses will move from island to LA X timelines, like Juliet's foreshadowed. The On Island activities are most likely being set up for lots of death and mayhem and the LA X is looking like where everyone is going to be able to "live"
I am still working on how all of them are going to come together especially since "she who is captured" needs to get to the hospital at some point. Somehow I still see Kate n Sawyer having sex behind bars...
and.. a new interview with Lindelof.. possible spoilers

Well my timeline of LOST finally caught up with everyone elses' after a month watching from season 1 to this episode. Maybe it is after watching Days of Our Lives (a soap Opera), Quantum Leap (time travel) & Sliders (time travel in different dimensions) but LOST makes sense to me and is the best mystery drama that is on tv currently. My favorite characters are Hugo & Desmond & for yummy female eye candy are Kate "freckles" & Penny. The Man in Black as "John Locke" has me wanting for the island to disappear & for MIB to make the a great sacrifice instead of Desmond, Hugo, or anyone else when the series ends. Swayer has progressed as a character but I still feel he is on his "own" side that suits him & Kate best.
Is it Tuesday night yet???

Hmmm.... Matthew makes a great point: the whole "game" between Jacob and MIB is all about Jacob proving to MIB that not every human is corruptible (or however he put it in the Richard episode). So is a redemption in the MIB's future? Then again - Jacob is the one who loses every time they play the game ("everyone always dies"). So what will make this group of Losties different?
Good food for thought for the next few eps.

I'm not so sure that there will be a redemption for the MIB. After the last episode, I don't think the smoke monster is Jacob's brother, and I also think it is the personification of evil. I think that Jacob's body allowed the smoke monster to escape, and it took on the form and personality of his brother. Jacob's brother wanted to go home, so now "it" wants to leave the island.
Now that it looks like that Jack will take on the role of Jacob, I was thinking about who also really wants to leave the island at all costs, and that would be Sawyer. What if Sawyer takes on the role of MIB? I don't think of Sawyer as a bad guy, but there is one thing that would put him against Jack. We keep wondering what role Kate is playing. What if her death is what sets in motion for Sawyer to completely turn to the wrong side.
