Fascinating! I didn't see the Smallville angle coming. Hopefully you had plenty of time to talk to him about his comics work, too.

Wait. He writes comics too? Has he done anything I would have read?

Totally forgot about that. My wife has been the Smallville watcher in our house but she has jumped off recently. But I am there for this one.

Personally, I think Smallville is a painfully unwatchable show.
That said, I may have to check this out.

I thought that about the earlier seasons, but I've found recently it's a lot better. With Johns writing I think the Absolute Justice will be really good.

Smallville is the comic book geek tv version of The Godfather as you can't escape it especially if Geoff Johns is writing the episode.

Johns makes you an offer you can't refuse.

Most shocking CGS moment of 2010: BD has no cable tv? How does one survive without cable and tivo??

Years ago, before he got famous, Johns came thru Bowling Green for a comics shop signing but I missed him. He was kind enough to sign a few Stargirl items for me via a friend. He really has a keen grasp on the DCU and is one of the few writers whose work I will buy no matter what the title.

Enjoying the show now. A great interview so far, and I'm glad you guys gave credit to Little Witch's "get" all those years ago.

Best thing I ever did was cancel cable. Not only did we save a bunch of money, but we felt like a huge burden was lifted from our shoulders.

We can get everything we need from Netlifx rentals and streaming, not to mention Hulu.

Stick it to the man, free yourself, cancel cable!

Great interview, guys. I always enjoy TV process talk, and hopefully Johns enjoyed the conversation and will be back soon to talk more comics.

And I will admit, I am not a Smallville reader whatsoever, but I will DVR this and give it a shot.

The CW isnt a cable network so you should be able to watch it on Friday if you have a CW network close to you.

I understand where you are coming from, but I thought the funniest part of the episode was when you told Johns that you don't have cable, and his shock response "Where do you live?"

If I was being a wiseass I'd say the answer to that question should be "1978." I honestly think I'd cut my arm off before I cut the cable.

I really do hope you guys get to talk comics with Johns in the future. Any chance your CW contact can get any cast members from Smallville to visit CGS?
