Let’s get this ball rollin'!
28 Days Later #5 - Really interesting to see the outbreak from the point of view of the press.
B.P.R.D. King of Fear #1 - I don't want to see Lobster Johnson go...again!!!
Batman Confidential #40 - Always a pleasure to see Sam Keith's art. He does it all in this issue, and brings us his usual twisted art and story to the dark knight.
Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #2 - I think the thing that kept me from enjoying this issue was the continuity of this mini and the main Blackest Night title. The whole fight with Mera kept me waiting for her to put on the red lantern ring. Beautiful art throughout though.
Cable #22 – Same old same old; Bishop is continuing to chase them both throughout time, only to barely miss them once per issue.
Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love #3 – I’m really enjoying the duo of Aladdin and Cinderella. They make a good Mr. & Mrs. Smith in this miniseries.
Conan The Cimmerian #17 – I wonder if Conan would stop killing the masses if he got a good and proper hug. Like the Beatles said, “All you need is love”.
Deadpool Team-Up #897 – The team-up with the Ghost Riders this issue felt very forced. Unless you’re a diehard fan of the Crimson Comedian, you really don’t need this series.
Doom Patrol #6 – DiDio writes a very entertaining Metal Men. I just wish the Metal Men would be 22 pages, and Doom Patrol be 10 pages.
Echo #18 – That bathroom massacre scene was visually great and slightly disturbing all at the same time. Also cool to see the split personality of the suit make its voice heard.
Gigantic #5 – Talk about being delayed! I vaguely remember what happened in issue 4, so going into this issue was hard for me. I’m sure it reads beautifully in trade since you’re reading it all in one sitting.
Haunt #4 – A lot of people like giving this new series crap, but haters be damned! I’m having such a fun time with this series. This issue in particular shows why you do not go after Haunt’s loved ones. He will fuck your shit up hardcore!
House of Mystery #21 – Nice to see the gang back together in a new dimension with new limits outside of the house. The squabbles between Fig and Cain are very amusing, and the reveal of Fig’s brother at the end leaves us wanting to know more about the fellow. Also, very nice art by Aragones & Rossi.
Jonah Hex #51 – The badass of the western genre continues to blow us away with another story filled with twists and turns. Another must-read for fans of Jonah Hex.
JSA All-Stars #2 – The sooner we all pretend this series didn’t happen, the better!
The Mighty #12 – Great ending to this spectacular 12-issue original series by Tomasi and Smanee! If you didn’t pick this up over the past year, do yourself and buy it when the eventual collected hardcover comes out!
Nation X: X-Factor #1 – A nice little one-shot featuring the X-Factor team and X-Men nation. Fun moments with football, hook-ups, and the occasional team-up against a giant old lady. What’s not to love?
Punisher MAX: Get Castle – They’re really improving with these Punisher MAX one-shots. In this issue, I really enjoyed the story of Frank getting revenge for a friend’s son in England. Bloody (literally) good show, wot wot!
Red Robin #8 – Word of advice, Tim: the last thing you want to do is piss-off Ra’s al Ghul. If Batman can barely beat him at times, what makes you think you’re any better than Bruce?
Red Tornado #5 – Again, this series has turned out to be very fun and enjoyable issue after issue!
Savage Dragon #156 – An all-out brawl in this issue with Dragon vs Dragon. Because of Larsen’s art, I had a difficult time differentiating which Dragon was which.
Siege: Embedded #1 – So basically this series is Siege: Frontline. Quick question, why is Volstagg walking around without any HAMMER agents trying to take him down?! Shouldn’t he be #1 on the most wanted list??
Siege #1 – Surprisingly the only thing I liked about this issue was The Sentry, and seeing him finally being a badass as he shows us how powerful he truly is.
Other than that, this whole event feels like Civil War 2, only this time Bendis is the head scribe.
Stumptown #2 – Don’t get me wrong, I really like this series so far, it’s just I felt like nothing really exciting or eventful happened this issue.
Suicide Squad #67 – Loved it! Ostrander and Simone on this issue flowed together so smoothly, and was consistently action packed! Love the Suicide Squad, love
the Secret Six, so to see both teams go at it really tickles my fancy.
Superman: World of New Krypton #11 – I miss Superman in Action Comics and his own series. Bring him back. This series keeps me content until then.
Sweet Tooth #5 – End of the first arc, and while I sorta knew what was probably going to happen a few issues ago, I still really enjoyed it. And who knows? Maybe Jepperd will decide to do the right thing and rescue the kid. Jeff Lemire has really grown on me these past few months, so consider me a new permanent disciple of his creations.
The Boys #38 – So after all the hype of what the origin of the Female was going to be, I find myself kind of disappointed on her creation. Sure she’s just as deadly and will rip your face off within seconds, but I was hoping for a better origin story I guess.
Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #6 – This series is starting to feel like an animated show you can watch on MTV.
Weird Western Tales #71 – While DiDio’s Metal Men was excellent this week, this issue on the other hand was not. Save your money, and go pick-up Suicide Squad #67 instead.
I blame Vegas for the lateness.

I blame Vegas for the lateness.
I blame Vegas for a lot of things.
Ultimate Spider-man #6 - Great, as always. MTV show? PSSHHH! I'm digging all the extra people in the series. I think they may find their own series after Ultimate Enemy, but right now it works.
Greek Street #7 - Finally dropping this series. I just can't anymore.
Haunt #5 - Meh. I'm dropping this series after the next issue (for a school paper review). Sure, the story is okay and the art is nice, but there's no dynamic. It's all one flat tone.
SPIDER-MAN NOIR EYES WITHOUT A FACE #2 - So far this is better than the first volume, which I also enjoyed. Great stuff.
Boys #38 - I'm with you. I was hoping for more. I'm still excited for the next arc, though. Shit's finally all coming together and getting crazy.
Red Robin #8 - This series has been mediocre so far, but now that Tim is coming back to Gotham I'm hopeful.
CINDERELLA FROM FABLETOWN WITH LOVE #3 - This series is getting better with every issue. Not great, but still good fun.
World's Finest #3 - This miniseries has been surprisingly fun. Can't wait for the last issue.
Siege #1 - So far, so good. Can't wait for Cap and the others to get involved. I want a Goblin vs. Spidey showdown and for Deadpool to sabotage Norman and get some payback.
Sweet Tooth #5 - Good end to a good arc. Hopefully Jepperd comes back. I'm interested to see where this series is taken.
The Squeeg #1 - A bit too quick, silly, and far-fetched, but it is the Squeeg. Looking forward to reading #2.
