Notice the points? Seven of them. For 7 Corps. Feeding past a barrier or prism. White Lanterns? It's gotta be.

Was just about to post this! Man, just when I thought I was done with Blackest NIght and getting my DCBS order back down to about $20/month I find out there is going to be 26 more issues plus GL and GLC to buy.

I actually think it is cool to set everything up in this ongoing as opposed to having BN repercussions in a variety of ongoing titles. I will be excited for the artist announcements.

It would be awesome if this were the next weekly series.

Ummm read the blog. smile.gif It is the next "weekly" series - but it's bi-weekly. Which should please those who like the idea of the weekly but not paying for the weekly. Two issues a month? Done and done!

great ideas peter. i figured white lantern(s) based on it being brighter and whiter. they seem to be going thru a barrier towards a prism (triangle).

i'm fine with bi-weekly. that's the week i'll pick up my pull list, and stay away from lcs (or try) the off weeks. i've yet to be reading at a time of a dc weekly "book", besides of course wednesday comics, which wasn't just one ongoing story, so let's not count that anyway. for me this'll be a good stepping stone to a possible future truly weekly book. in back issues i've dabbled in trinity, countdown (52... not even sure i understand the difference), dc one million, and most recently millennium.

oh yeah, and alex sequera tweeted a few minutes ago this - "Ah, coffee. More from my chat with Dan around 11, folks". i guess i'll assume that's eastern time, same as the zone i'm in.

Sweet Jee-bus, the heart is willing, but the wallet is weak.

At least it's a bi-weekly instead of a weekly.

If you count GL and GLC it can be weekly, since those two title will have the BD banner on them also.

second announcement seems like it should decrease your enjoyment of this "event".

so the push-back w/Flash: Rebirth #6 now makes more sense, but still not the "Brightest" of moves (pun definitely intended!) feels like DC editorial had their paws all over this...

comiclist.com indicates flash:rebirth #6 to be released on 2-24, not 3-24 like dc's page says.

D'oh!

Well, maybe it will be more like a Dark Reign sort of deal and Brightest Day will just be sort of a thematic umbrella that sets the tone for the DCU for 2010 rather than an event crossover.

That Flash cover is badass. I will most likely not be getting Brightest Day for budgetary reasons but new Flash ongoing is all I care about, baby!
