Exactly old school CGS w/o the dogs barking or "We are Sexy Bitches Yeah!"
Smallville is a shadow of its former self but it is my Superman drama and I will watch to its series finale. I like the trio of women on the show; smart blondes (Chloe), willing to dressup in almost anything to get a story (Lois) & bitchy redheads (Tess) in Smallvile (aka Metropolis at this point).

Looking at those pages again in the new HC made me feel equally happy and sad.
I guess I'll always feel that way about Dave's art from here on out.
When I was in grade school, OUR computers were in science fiction books!
I never touched a computer until I got out of college! True!
You've never learned until you got your lessons delivered by film strips and the vinyl records with the "beep".
Oh, I do miss the smell of a freshly dittoed or mimeographed page.

but it's really not bad. half and half of the podcasts i listen to are very professional and rather amateurish, and the sound quality on this is actually in the middle.
great podcast guys!

I fully expected to hear Bryan giving Pants the treatment Moe Howard style.
Now that would have been awesome.

Jub is appearing in Nation X, apparently with her powers back, and Cass has kinda disappeared since Batgirl #1.

Isn't Dick, Cassandras adopted brother?
I liked her character. I think she could be used in an interesting way.
What's a cassette tape?

i dunno about cassie as Batgirl, i never read much of her. I did think turning her evil was stupid, and fixing her again in titans was a good move. That said i have been really enjoying the new Batigrl. It started slow, but by issue 4 really picked up, and i now find myself excited for issue 6 to hit.
Also: The New Atom made an appearance in Justice League: cry for Justice...Number 1 i think. but it was pretty brief. i think it'll be a shame if the character is tossed aside; His title was a lot of fun.

Regarding TV shows on DVD:
Agreed, we MUST get the 60s Batman on DVD. I disagree with the voice mail. HOLY BATMANIA is a great DVD for fans of the show. Essentially, this and Adam West's DVDs are your special features if the show ever makes it to DVD.
Jamie, I had the same experience with the Classic STAR TREK that you had with M*A*S*H with the cut bits. After seeing the cut reruns for years in the 1970s, it was a trip to see the extra scenes.
Adam, I too am glad TAXI Season 4 and 5 are out on DVD but those had some changes from the original shows. It isn't as bad as WKRP IN CINCINNATI with the music changes but there are some. Season 4: The episode were Alex and Elaine go to Europe, Billy Joel's song "Vienna" was removed. In another episode where Louie catches a mouse and sets it free at the end of the episode, they clipped it early to remove him from singing "Born Free". I haven't watched my Season 5 DVD yet but I'm curious about the episode with Jim and his father's funeral and their usage of Stevie Wonder's "You are the Sunshine of my Life".
Other changed shows: THE YOUNG INDIANA JONES CHRONICLES. Old Indy with the eye patch has been completely eradicated and many of the movies have different beginnings (Lucas tinkering again!). So I've decided to digitize my old tapes after all since there probably isn't a demand to have the original versions released. Gotta preserve the history!!
Regarding the guy with the comics manifesto, if it is good does NOT mean it will sell. NOVA and GUARDIANS are not selling like gangbusters for Marvel but they are some of its top books. And what you might think it great, others don't. It can be subjective. What is popular sells. Sometimes, if we are lucky, it is good too.
