Let's get this ball rollin'!

Green Lantern #46 - Holy cow what an issue! You had so much action and new things happening, that if you're not reading this with Blackest Night, then you are really missing out! Zamaron is lost, Sinestro battles Mongul for the Sinestro Corps, and a coalition is formed to destroy the Black Lanterns. What I really enjoyed was the Sinestro / Mongul battle, because it's been hyped for a good while now. Seeing Sinestro override the rings, then kick Mongul's ass was truly epic. Smart to keep him locked-up in the power battery, too! Overall this issue was a pleasant reminder that Green Lantern is one of the best comics out there right now.

Amazing Spider-Man #607 - I missed seeing Black Cat and Spidey together. They make that perfect naughty couple that you don't get anymore in comics. So sexual eruptions aside, I thought this issue was great. You have a old timer villain (Diablo) causing trouble, and a team-up of Spider-Man and Black Cat to take him down (with both having a different reason to). Add in the fact that Diablo might be apart of the newly reformed Sinister Six in the new future, and you go yourself one hell of comic.

Blackest Night: Titans #2 - So while I enjoyed the first issue more, this one did have it's moments. I'm liking the dead Hawks going after Dove, and they still can't figure out what part of the spectrum she's in. With the rest of the story with the Titans, I just really wouldn't mind seeing Beast Boy die. Hopefully this miniseries will finish strong.

Secret Warriors #8 - Jonathan Hickman is the breath of fresh air that Marvel needs. With him doing such a great job on Fantastic Four and this series, us fans are in for a treat. This issue teaches us that when you think you have Nick Fury in custody, you probably really don't have the real Nick Fury. Guy is very sneaky like that. Cool to see Alex (God of Fear, son of Ares) pop-out of the Model Life Decoy and give Osborn a piece of his mind before fleeing with the rest of his team. Can't wait to see what happens next issue!

Superman #692 - Didn't care for it in the slightest. It felt like a bad D&D game on acid in some parts.

Gotham City Sirens #4 - Alas, the bootylicious babes of Gotham are on the prowl looking for their precious kidnapped Harley. The Joker sees her out on a date with Bruce Wayne (Hush), and proves he isn't the jealous type...by sending his goons to kill her! You get action, laughs, and some really beautiful art in this issue, proving that these new Batman series really get the job done.

Thor #603 - I gotta say, I enjoyed more Loki when he had breasts. Breasts aside, this was another fun issue of Thor starring the wonderful cast of Asgardians. Makes me look forward to the upcoming William the Warrior one-shot.

Justice Society of America #31 - While I do enjoy what the writers are trying to do for the series, it's just making me miss the glory days with Johns writing. I'm not a fan of the bickering and fighting between Ted and Magog, let alone killing Mr. Terrific. And that brainy kid? Kill him.

Wolverine: Weapon X #5 - While Blackguard did end with an explosive and bloody BANG, the mini-series as a whole up to now just didn't really win me over. It surprised me, too, it being written by Jason Aaron and everything. However it's still going, so maybe it still has a chance to win a spot in my heart.

Batman: Widening Gyre #2 - Two issues into this new Kevin Smith run, and I'm loving it! I like the mystery of who this new hero helping Batman is, I'm loving the art, and most of all I enjoy the fact that it isn't in continuity, making it tons of fun for all readers. This is a well-told Batman story, and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of either Batman or Kevin Smith.

Thunderbolts #136 - I like how this issue ties-in a little with Secret Warriors #8. While Norman is dealing with Fury, we have the Thunderbolts struggling with morals and whether it's right to kill Songbird and Black Widow execution style. The result of mutiny really surprised me! Tons of action this issue, and it also makes me want a Ghost miniseries. That dude is badass!

G.I. Joe Special: Cobra #1 - This one-shot wasn't needed in my opinion. While I enjoyed the Cobra miniseries that happened earlier this year, this issue was boring, bland, and not needed. But hey, it'll make for a nice little extra in the hardcover.

Punisher Annual #1 - While sometimes annuals have a one-shot story that doesn't take place in continuity, sometimes they do. This annual for instance continues with the current story-arc with the undead villains trying to take down Frank, and it continues to keep the story fun and action-packed. The cameo with Spider-Man fit wonderfully, and Spidey getting all lovey-dovey with Frank at the end was very funny. Remender continues to do a fantastic job on this run, and Jason Pearson's art fit this issue fantastically. I'd like to see more of his art in future Punisher stories.

Spider-Man Clone Saga #1 - I felt like this story would work better in the 70's or 80's. With all the crap going on in Spidey's series at the moment, the last thing he needs is to worry about clones.

Hulk #15 - Oh dear god, Red She-Hulk? Someone put out a hit on Loeb please.

Dark Reign: Sinister Spider-Man #4 - It was a mediocre mini-series at best, but I'm not going to lie; I enjoyed a few moments with Venom. I'd like to see him act the way he does in this mini, and act that way in Dark Avengers.

Justice League of America 80 Page Giant #1 -
Not worth your time, and definitely not worth your money. Pick it up in the twenty-five cent bin at a Con a few years down the line.

Wonder Woman #36 - While things are starting to get interesting with the fight against Achilles, wouldn't the obvious thing to do is go for his heel??

Teen Titans #75 - Ugggh, don't add Beast Boy to the roster!! That's like drilling more holes in this sinking ship of a series.

Dark Reign: The Hood #5 - This mini really started out strong, but ended pretty 'meh'.

The Boys: Herogasm #5 - Okay, I'm ready for this mini to end. Shock value really worked earlier on, but now it's same old same old.

Jack of Fables #38 - I like the idea of the series focusing on both Jacks, but it's the execution that's really bothering me. I'm hoping it improves, because this can be such a fun series.

Die Hard Year One #1 - Skip it. Unless you're a hardcore fan of the first film, do yourself a favor and skip it.

Marvel Zombies: The Return #5 - Now it all comes together and makes slightly more sense. No onwards to more pointless volumes and spin-off's!

Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #55 - I didn't read it, but I just wanted to highlight that gorgeous Skottie Young cover.
