As heard on today's episode (#699) I put a call out to all podcasts for the next COMICS PODCAST THEME EVENT!

Focusing on horror, all you have to do to participate is put out an episode during the week of October 25th thru the 31st on the subject of Horror in comics. You can talk about the genre, a specific comic, a particular comic horror artist, characters, a single story, a run - whatever! Just include "Comics Podcast Theme Event" in the title/description/etc and cover the subject of horror and you're in!

There have been two previous Theme Events, one on Diamond Distribution and another on Politics in Comics. This is just a way of doing simple cross promotion and to have a week's worth of fun discussion.

I'll get a website to syndicate all participating podcasts. Just send me an email stating your in, your topic and a simple logo or banner for your 'cast. peter@comicgeekspeak.com - or post here on this thread. And most importantly - spread the word to other podcasts thru your episodes and/or respective forums. Everyone is welcome to participate!

Oct. 4th: Unsung Terror 2!-- A follow up to last years underrated horror movie episode

Oct 11th: Bad Moon Rising-- A special focusing on werewolves in film, TV, and comics

Oct 18th: 2-Bits of Terror-- A crossover with our "sister podcast," the 2-Bit Podcasters, featuring a look at the horror genre in videogames

Oct 25th: Jason Goes to Hell-- A commentary episode for Friday the 13th 9: Jason Goes to Hell

Oct 30th: The Deadliest Slasher-- A "what if?" style episode where the Geek Savants discuss which horror movie icon would reign supreme in a death match tournament. Jason vs. Michael, Candy Man vs. Freddy, The Blob vs. The Thing, etc.
