Hey guys and dolls -
We're opening our phone lines to the listeners for our Episode 700 recording this Sunday night October 4th starting at 8:00pm east coast time/5:00 pacific. We haven't done one of these since Episode 500 back in August 2008.
We want you all to try and call in and ask questions about comics, CGS, etc - talk about comics, talk about the community, talk about whatever - just come prepared to talk! This is one of the episodes where we like to sit back and let you guys have your say!
The number is 215-279-8839 and I'll send out reminders on Twitter and Facebook as the week goes on.
If you aren't able to call in on Sunday night, feel free to call the voicemail line this week and leave a message. We'll play it on Episode 700 or I'll compile a bunch of voicemails for a Listener Feedback episode later in the month. You can also leave a question here for the geeks or for an individual geek to answer during the episode when we have downtime from the phone lines.
Not sure yet if we'll be up on stickam during the recording, but either way, mark your calendars! We'll be giving away free Super Show tickets to random callers!

I haven't done an official count, but we're probably heading to 1000 episodes overall. Or at least, 1000 CGS episodes. Not sure what that would be when you add in the spin-offs.
It's going to be weird to say "This is Comic Geek Speak Episode 1045". At some point we should just do what Stern did and just put out shows 5 times a week, give a date, number it on the homepage, but not in the actual episode. We'll see. After 1000 does it even matter anymore? lol

Wow, has it really been 700? I've been listening i think from the 300's because I remember just missing the big meet-up. Time went quick, Congrats guys and keep up the amazing work!

I just did a count (yes, I'm bored) and as of today, we have at least 863 CGS episodes, non-numbered specials, and spinoffs. I did not count episodes where we syndicated other podcast episodes (such as Indie Spinner Rack, QPAW, etc.). I also didn't count a few other episodes - like the San Diego podcasting panels - but the official number might be a little higher if I count a few eps I left off the list. Just waiting for Bryan's thoughts on those before I can figure it out.

People still listen to the show?!? - it jumped the shark with #695 in my opinion. =)
