Let's get this ball rollin'!
Batman & Robin #3 - As much as I loved these first three issues, I'm sort of let down that Quitely is done for the time being. His art and Morrison's story is what really makes this title so enjoyable. I found myself going back through the issue three times just to make sure I caught all of Quitely's sound effects that have been planted in the scene. Pyg is down-right creepy, and the return of a certain hooded figure at the end makes me plan on sticking with this title next month. Fun Batman stories is what I crave in this current event climate.
Green Lantern #45 - Hands-down my Pick of the Week. Reading this issue felt like I was getting Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, and Blackest Night all in the same title. You get to see a little of every Lantern Corps as they're busy battling each other across the galaxy; Sinestro Corps vs Star Sapphires, Blue Lanterns vs Orange Lanterns, Green Lanterns vs Red Lanterns, and Black Rings getting in the middle of all of them. One of my favorite panels in the issue was one of Larfleeze coming face to face with the avatars he killed and captured as Black Lanterns. His "Yuh-Oh" line was very appropriate. Tons of action and colors in this issue, that it was such a fun read for only $3.
Flash: Rebirth #4 - I enjoyed this issue a lot more than the previous ones because I'm finally seeing it all come together. Ethan van Sciver's art is beautiful, and Geoff Johns is finally making me care about the Flash again after years of horrible stories and introductions of not needed kids. *Gasp* Maybe he'll kill the kids!!! One can only dream.
Detective Comics #856 - Nice little twist that the beasts we saw last issue are actually on Kate's side. The thing I really, and I mean really enjoyed about this issue was at the party with Kate and her new friend. Everything from both of them wearing the same kind of tuxedo, to pissing-off her Stepmother for dancing together. Greg Rucka knows how to write women, and he helps show how badass female leads can be. J.H. Williams III's beyond gorgeous art really help sets the mood and tone of the issue, and the colors just pop-out and mesmerize me. Killer series!
New Avengers #56 - It was really interesting to see everyone on the same playing field in this issue. With everyone without their precious powers, it looks like both the Dark Avengers and New Avengers might have to team-up this one time to get away safely, and stop the Hood's goons at the same time. Cool appearance by the Wrecking Crew, and it was nice to see Norman without power for once.
Dark Avengers #8 - Let me just take a moment to praise Luke Ross' art in this. Throughout this event, his art really makes me enjoy observing each page. I'll find myself just getting lost in the art for minutes, then finally realize I should read what the word balloons say too. Nice little twist at the end, and very interesting to see this Asteroid-M like base surface (literally). I've never been much of a hardcore X-Men fan, but this event has been so much fun!
Fantastic Four #570 - The debut issue of both Hickman & Eaglesham, and goddamn was it fantastic! I'm really liking the new direction it's headed, and I also like the Tom Strong-esque outfit Reed is starting to wear. The fact that he's hidden the machine away from Sue and the others so he can figure out how to solve everything is cool and creepy at the same time, but what really blew me away and got me hooked was the multiple Reeds from other dimensions acting as a secret Illuminati type watching group. I see wonderful things ahead for this series, and trust Hickman 100%.
Blackest Night: Titans #1 - Of all the Blackest Night minis, this one has to be my favorite so far. If one team in the DCU knows about losing members all the time, it's the poor Titans. This issue was action-packed, and we get to see the appearance of the possible first White Lantern. I haven't seen enough Hawk & Dove over the years, so after this event is over it'd be nice to see them get a mini-series...and they make out alot in it...just saying.
Superman #691 - Still not a fan of the crossover.
Gotham City Sirens #3 - While it's very weird to have a guest writer on the third issue, I found myself really enjoying this one. It's pretty much a Riddler story, and I'm loving this detective Riddler much more than I ever did the criminal one. He's ridiculously smart (and cocky), and always seems to crack the case (eventually). I wouldn't mind seeing more one-shots of Riddler stories in future GCS issues.
Justice Society of America #30 - I liked this issue better than the last, but I'm still not feeling it. Willingham is setting up some good ideas, but the execution isn't all that great yet. I haven't lost faith yet, and I'm sure it'll grab me sometime in the near future.
Nova #28 - A fitting wrap-up with the War of Kings crossover, and looks like I predicted wrong; Robbie is still alive and kicking! Kicking so much, that after he recovers from his fleshwounds he's been invited to join the newly formed Nova Corps. I really like the direction this is going, and it wasn't dragged-down by the War of Kings event by even a little bit. It's been a fun cosmic series from issue 1, and remains strong twenty-seven issues later.
Batman: Widening Gyre #1 - Kevin Smith is on a hot-streak, I'll tell you what! In this latest mini, he sure seems to be having fun writing all the inmates at Arkham, and it has a classic Batman feel to it. Cool cliffhanger, too; is this an already established character in the DCU, or another original one from Smith himself? Either way, I'm definitely sticking around to find out!
Deadpool #14 - Another hilarious issue written by Daniel Way. Pirates, parrots, and plundering! Interesting little tid-bit at the end, hopefully Wilson will snap out of it.
Dark X-Men: Beginning #3 - The only story I enjoyed in this issue was the Emma Frost / Namor one. That's it.
X-Force #18 - Holy shit! Talk about a brutal issue! That last page had me asking outloud "What the fuck?!" I can't wait to see what happens next issue!
Scalped #31 - Things are starting to heat-up on the Rez, and Agent Nitz is sooo close to finally nailing Redcrow after his most recent scene at the police station. With Nitz on his ass and the Hmongs on their way packing enough heat to arm a small Middle Eastern country, things are just going to get insane in these next few issues! Spectacular read.
Dark Wolverine #77 - I was kind of letdown by this conclusion. Action happened, but no one benefited and Daken lost. I was just starting to really like him, too.
Incredible Hulk #601 - Shows how much I've been following Skaar; how the hell did he get to Earth?!
Hulk #14 - Here's my theory; Jeph Loeb has 10+ gigs of incriminating pictures of Joey Q, and that's why he's still allowed to use any character he wants in the 616 universe for his Rulk stories. I wanted to claw my own eyes out when Rulk was recruiting for his team. So many groans for such beautiful art, it doesn't seem fair.
Avengers: The Initiative #27 - Cool look at how Osborn's Initiative is run, even if it involves a suicide mission into the Negative Zone.
Dark Reign: Elektra #5 - Not the action-packed conclusion like I had hoped, but enjoyable nonetheless.
Dark Reign: Sinister Spider-Man #3 - Meh.
Wonder Woman #35 - Dr. Psycho is back! Hurrah!
The Boys: Herogasm #4 - Kind of an interesting issue with a little bit more backstory on how Dakota Bob became President. I'm looking forward to The Supie Awards, with no doubt jabs at the Eisner Awards.
Ms. Marvel #44 - So there's two of them? I'm not sure if I fully understand the connection, but I enjoyed the pretty pictures.
Teen Titans #74 - I gotta say, I was very sad by the end of this issue. It felt like almost yesterday Kid Devil joined the team. Black Ring in his future? And lets see some more Kid Flash and Connor soon. The team would be a thousand times better with them on the roster.
Red Circle: The Shield #1 - Just your average Captain America knock-off. It sounds cruel to say that, but with all the similarities between the two characters, it's hard not to think it.
28 Days Later #1 - Interesting to have a comic sequel of this literally years after the movie came out. It took me a second to recognize the main character, but I guess I should go rent the movie if I want to remember and really enjoy this series. Wasn't there a sequel to the movie already?
Buck Rogers #3 - In the wise words of Towelie, "What the hell's going on?"
Project Superpowers Chapter 2 #2 - I came, I read, I meh'd. I do want Captain Future's t-shirt though.
Doctor Who: Cold-Blooded War - This wasn't the strongest of the one-shots.
Can I sleep now? I've had a very exhausting week. What did YOU buy & like?

Still reading mine. But so far I've read...
Nova #28: Getting slow now, but at least this WoK tie in shit is over. It's not been a good crossover with Nova at all and im glad to see the back of it. Hopefully this series will get back to how good it was about 8 issues ago!
Blackest Night: Titans #1 : Actually very fucking awesome! I can't wait to read more more more baby!
Batman & Robin #3: Totally fucking awesome. The best Bat book at the moment. This is classic Batman & Robin crime fighting stuff! LOVE IT!
Dark Avengers #8 (Utopia part 5): Confusing, but the outcome was pleasing! Im interested and excited for future stories to say the least.
Deadpool #14: Funny, but I'm glad this pirate stuff is over. I want to see more Bob though, but I don't think we will. Daniel Way is kicking ass on this main deadpool series! Keep the good stuff coming Mr. Way!
To read, I still have Green Lantern #45, Guardians of the Galaxy #17 and Halo: Helljumper #2.
