Let's get this ball rollin'!

Captain America: Reborn #2 - While it had nice art from Hitch, I just feel like I've read all these Cap stories before. I know he's jumping through time to different events in his life, but it feels repetitive.

Amazing Spider-Man #601 - Very funny reveal who Peter hops in the sack with. Then again, I guess it was bound to happen. It feels weird to have MJ in the series again, after all the effort to drive them apart. Now it appears that she remembers everything from OMD, and I don't know how I feel about that. But alas, I had a fun time with this issue regardless.

Superman: World of New Krypton #6 - He's not dead, he's just pining for the fjords!

Invincible Iron Man #16 - This issue felt a little off to me with Madame Masque madly still in love with Tony. She's never displayed these feelings before while with The Hood, yet sports the "if I can't have him, no one can!" attitude throughout. Nice to see Pepper no longer the damsel in distress, and able to take care of herself nowadays.

Justice League: Cry for Justice #2 - I don't like this series. More importantly, I hope it's not considering itself to be taking place in continuity, because right now Hal is busy with the dead rising, and Supergirl is on New Krypton. And don't even get me started on the supposed threesome between Lady Blackhawk, Huntress, and Hal. Reeks of out of character.

Irredeemable #5 - First trade collecting the first four issues came out this week, and with this issue only costing $0.99, there's no excuse for you to not be picking up this fantastic series. The Plutonian's throne room looks menacing, and the fact that one of their team knows where his hideout is and yet has kept quiet this entire time is rather unnerving. Plus answering fan mail on every electronic device? Creepy as hell!

War of Kings #6 - Battle of the Kings in this issue, and it's a bloody massacre! Blackbolt vs Vulcan, and in the end we don't know who survives the T-Bomb blast. Sure the Inhumans and Kree win the war, but at what cost? Spectacular cosmic event, and a must-read for fans of Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova.

Chew #3 - Hands-down my Pick of the Week. I was finally able to get my hands on all three issues, and goddamn is this series a blast! Love, action, vomit, and poultry propaganda jam-pack this issue from cover to cover, with beautiful art by Rob Guillory, and quite the original story by John Layman. This book lives up to the hype, so don't wait for it in trade and go out and get the first three issues now!

Secret Six #12 - Another fantastic issue by Simone & Scott. And we finally get to see what Jeanette's powers are; she's a banshee from hell, with a scream so deadly that it puts Wonder Woman in a coma. With the Six split-up and trying to save thier own hides, it'll be pretty interesting to see what happens next issue down in the "9th level of Hell".

Doom Patrol #1 - I haven't even finished Morrison's run on the series, so this first issue was over my head, and not all that entertaining.

The Boys #33 - Fun to see Butcher going after Payback one-by-one, making sure they deserve what's coming to them. If the team wasn't so greedy, they would have escaped with their lives. It'll be quite the showdown next issue with the Boys versus Stormfront (Nazi Superman). I mean just look at the cover for the next issue! How badass is that?

Agents of Atlas #9 - Cool to see the fight between M-11 and M-25, and Atlas versus the Jade Claw. Maybe Jimmy will learn his lesson next time and not look-up old flames, because now him and his team are dead in the water (literally!).

Hulk #13 - What happened to Guinness' art?! It was the only thing I was enjoying from this craptastic series! Now it's different, and not in a good way.

Greek Street #2 - Little hard to follow compared to the last issue, but it was still interesting and shows lots of promise under the Vertigo banner.

The Mighty #7 - Absolution, Irredeemable, and The Mighty are all along the same vein, but surprisingly don't steal from each other's material. Tomasi still brings twisted and new stories in this book, making it such an enjoyable (and usually creepy) read. Only a few issues left!

Witchfinder: In The Service Of Angels #2 - This issue was a lot easier to follow than the last, and I was really digging the Hellboy-esque art (appropriate, because it takes place in that universe). The creature at the end is rather creepy coming out of the darkness like that, and is a little reminder why I sleep with a light on nowadays.

Red Circle: The Hangman #1 - Straczynski's first DC work away from Marvel, and it reminds me a lot of The Twelve. Hopefully this time he'll finish what he starts, because I'm still bitter about The Twelve not being finished by now.

Jonah Hex #46 - Ahhh sheeeyet! This is why when you try and kill Hex, you make sure he's good and dead!

House of Mystery #16 - The thing I really like about this series is the fact that you get two stories for the price of one. If you don't like one, then chances are you'll at least enjoy the other. While I'm enjoying the main story of the House landing in a deserted city, I really drooled-over the Willingham & Corben short story of The Hounds of Titus Roan. Corben's art on that story is fantastic, and creepy as hell. Rossi's art on the main story is spectacular as well, so you get double the great art & story all in one $3 book. Well worth the money if you ask me (go ahead, ask me).

Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? #2 - My only knowledge of Dick's work is the Blade Runner movie, and just from the first issue of this series did I know that the movie didn't do the book justice. Therefore, I'm having fun going through the book chapter by chapter, and the backmatter by different writers always makes for an entertaining read. This issue; Matt Fraction!

Savage Dragon #151 - Is he really dead, or can he pull himself together and regenerate without a head? Cool to see his spawn in action avenging his "death".

War Machine #8 - I thought Wonder Man was a bad guy in Lethal Legion? Hmmm. Like Cyborg over in DC, I really don't care about this character.

Solomon Grundy #6 - Yay on art, and that's it (just like the Hulk series).

Iron Man: Armor Wars #1 - Beautiful Skottie Young cover, and that's it.

Absolution #1 - It's in the same vein as Irredeemable and The Mighty, but enjoyable nonetheless. I find it kind of funny that all three books came out in the same week. I like the powers the main character has, because it reminds me of the Green Lantern ring, but with lethal force. I trust Gage with this series, and since it's under the Avatar banner, you know it's going to be good.

Tons more to review, and I'll add my comments on those later. Killer week so far, I'm enjoying it thoroughly.
