The Time Bubble is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. There is something soothing about it... Plus it gives me great ideas for back issue diving targets. I'd never heard of Marvel Boy, but it sounds like my cup of tea.
A question of logistics: Is Murd driving back to Deemer Studios periodically for these or does he record in the back room of the Christmas shop or something?

Agreed!
I feel like I'm sitting on the floor in my jammies while my hip Uncle Adam reads me stories from the comfort of a big, over-stuffed chair.

I loves me some Time Bubble! I'll always come along for the ride as long as Captain Murd is at the helm, safely piloting us through the time stream!

I think the show needs to start with the TARDIS sound effect. On the other hand, great show, El Professoro Murd. Fun commentary. Love the bit about Power Pack. And you were a bit more edgy than usual...almost got a little Murd rant there...which was fun to hear.

terrific episode murd, your best yet. Do you set yourself a time limit you want the episode to run?

Legends of the DCU 33 was my gateway into collecting orignial comic art! My first original was one of Zulli's pages from this issue.

Great show.

Murd! I love love LOVE that Captain Marvel series! It's easily one of my favorite Marvel series of all time. I'm very anxious to hear you eventually get to #36 (or #1, if you go by the renumbering)...I won't spoil anything, suffice to say that the series sees a fundamental change on multiple levels, and it'll be very very interesting to see what you think of it.

He's stuck writing Power Pack mini-series, and they're not even in continuity

Oh snap! He went there.

Its a funny smackdown, but damn....I bet he's having fun writing power pack.

I'd like to think if DC and Marvel writing staffs were like high school, that'd be like the biggest burn. Like "Yo mam jokes" for comic book writers.

"Your just writing for the trade!"
"Oh yeah, well your stories aren't even in continuity"

I am loving these trips on the Time Bubble. Thanks for the flashback to the Peter David Captain Marvel series. I regret selling it a few years ago when I needed to cut back on my collection.

Greetings, Bubblicious Ones!

Zog: It would be cool, and convenient, if I could record Time Bubble episodes in the back room of the Xmas Shop in Stone Harbor, but I don't have any recording equipment there. I try to get back to the Deemer house for at least one regular CGS recording session per fortnight anyway, so I just do the Time Bubble eps then.

Josh: Glad you liked! I think the reason for the "edginess" you noticed was the fact that I recorded this episode at about 11:00 pm, after recording three rather lengthy CGS episodes in a row, including the epic Previews show on which you and Kat appeared, so that by the time I got behind the controls of the Time Bubble I was so ragged I could barely form words. To make matters worse, I had spent most of that afternoon typing up detailed notes for myself, as Kat and a few others suggested I do, but then my frellin' printer conked out on me, leaving me to wing it and babble'n'ramble once again, and I was kind of pissed off at myself about that in addition to being tired. Sorry if this show seemed a bit rough around the edges; I do hope to do better (and start earlier) with #4.

spider-neil: I shoot for 30-40 minutes. I'm trying to keep the episodes "bite-sized," so as not to give people the chance to get tired of listening to me! smile.gif If I go over an hour, I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

gland: I've got every last issue of David's Captain Marvel, "U-Decide" nonsense and all, somewhere in the Eight-Year Pile. Such good stuff! It'll take me a while to reach #36, but when I get to it, I'll surely talk about it on the show. (Any other requests, folks?)

Kapt. S and Mike Y.: Yeah, maybe I was a little too hard on ol' Sumerak... after all, I've never actually met the guy. He just made a number of pretty dickish remarks in the "Sharing Spaces" lettercol over the years, and I judge his character based on that. I hope he is having fun writing Power Pack minis--everyone deserves to enjoy what they do--but I sure don't feel the need to read any of them. (And I stand by my assertion that Drax the Destroyer is cooler than he is. tongue.gif )

Nah, I didn't even think you were being mean just thought it was an intentional joke...also I wouldn't be surprised if Sumerak was being a dick intentionally, similar to how Bendis is in the Powers letter column. I never read a bunch of them m'self. I only read David's Captain Marvel after the relaunch(which was awesome).

"not even in continuity"....priceless

thanks for taking the time to reply happystrange.png
It really is such a cool show and I love hearing about terrific story archs in the past tense. I'm really jealous of you because you get to read comics at your leisure where as us non time bubblites have to sometimes put up with late books. Really looking forward to number 4 thumbsup_anim.gif

Loved the intro, Murd. Sounds like you were channeling Venus Flytrap for a moment there. thumbsup_anim.gif

Just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying the Time Bubble! You're sounding more relaxed and confident, and I'm enjoying the humor you inject. Keep it up!

I'm looking forward to the next installment of Time Bubble. It's been awhile! These, and the Footnotes are some of my favorite episodes. I love the nostalgia.

Murd's been busy down at the family christmas shop by the sea - I'm sure he's eager to return once his workload eases up!
