Let's get this ball rollin'!
Flash: Rebirth #3 - Just like the previous two issues, stuff happens, but nothing so spectacular happens. Cool last page, but the story as a whole just hasn't been doing it for me. Johns is a spectacular writer without a doubt, but I think I finally found a comic by him that just doesn't grab me like the others.
Green Lantern Corps #37 - Cool issue! Ion makes the ultimate sacrifice to change the red sun into yellow one, therefore giving the Daxamites the powers they need to kick Mongul's ass. Add Scar taking down Oa's defenses, and the poor Lanterns can't catch a break. Is July and The Blackest Night here yet??
Batman #687 - Winick is a very hit-or-miss writer for me, and with this issue, he has me on the fence. It was a nice epilogue to Battle For The Cowl, but it should have come out before Morrison & Quitely's Batman and Robin. Ed Benes just rocks this issue with his art, but I just don't think it's worth the $3.99 price tag. If I have to choose between Batman and Batman and Robin, I'll go with the later.
Red Robin #1 - It was interesting. I'm not saying it was a horrible issue, but it just didn't hook me yet. Tim Wayne truly is Bruce's son, more than Damian is, but the poor guy has lost so much these past few years that it's remarkable he hasn't killed himself to ease the pain. It'll be interesting to see him traveling the globe in search of Bruce, but hopefully the art will improve because I wasn't a fan of it.
Amazing Spider-Man #597 - What a fun book from cover to cover. Spidey is found out by Norman's Dark Avengers, and does Norman do something evil and by the book like tie him up? Hell no! He shoots him point blank! What a badass! Darn you Joe Kelly for being so amazing, and leaving us all with one helluva cliffhanger! Spider-Man hasn't been this much fun to me since...I can't remember!
Action Comics #878 - I just have no interest whatsoever in Nightwing and Flamebird. I just need to stick with World of New Krypton for all my Superman needs.
Uncanny X-Men #511 - Well thank god that arc is over with!
Fantastic Four #567 - Okay, so we get that Doom's Master is an evil guy, and will make Doom think he's been living in a happily ever after world since he took a stand against him, but I just don't care. Having the Fantastic Four go up against him next issue might be entertaining, but right now I'm not feeling the love.
Wolverine #74 - Dear lord, what a train-wreck! Not even Jason Aaron and Tommy Lee Edwards could save it!
Deadpool #11 - Pick of the week, hands-down. With both Bullseye and Wade needing advice from Dr. Feelgood, to the Meat Suit, I had such an enjoyable time with this issue. Paco Medina's art fits the character wonderfully, and Daniel Way totally brings the funny. Saved by poetry? How embarrassing! If you're looking for a good series to pick-up, I cannot highly recommend Deadpool enough. Well worth your money.
Walking Dead #62 - You know what's creepy? Getting stalked by zombies. You know what's creepier? Getting stalked by humans with guns. I can't even imagine what these people want with Rick & Co., but knowing Kirkman, it's going to be something sick and fucked-up. I eagerly await the next issue.
Booster Gold #21 - You want to talk about enjoyable cliff-hangers? Take a look at the end of this issue; Black Beetle has gone back in time to kill Dick Grayson, and therefore no more Batman. Now it's up to Booster to make sure that doesn't happen! Dan Jurgens continues to do a great job with the character he created all those many years ago.
Fables #85 - Jack Frost, meet Jack. Very funny issue with all the fighting between father, son, and the cult of Boy Blue. However, I don't think Bigby is going to be happy when he finds out that Jack has taught the cubs how to play poker. And howabout that Sam? He might be the unsung hero if he's going to do what I think he's going to do.
X-Men: Forever #1 - Haha oh wow; if this was suppose to be the continuation of his run all those many years ago, Claremont should have done us a favor and not have written it!
Lockjaw & The Pet Avengers #2 - Frog Thor (or "Throg") continues to be my favorite, followed very closely by the yappy dog. Even though this is a title aimed at kids, I'm just having such a fun time with it. It'll be something I give to my younger cousins when it comes out in trade.
G.I. Joe: Origins #4 - This series started out strong, but now it's starting to bore me. I don't really need to know the origins to my favorite childhood cartoon characters, so it's not a "must read". Stick to the main title or G.I. Joe: Cobra if you're looking for good reads.
Sherlock Holmes #2 - It's now up to Watson and the Inspector to bend the law in their favor to help their friend and mentor escape prison. Too bad Holmes doesn't seem to need them to help him with that! This series continues to be a fun ride, and I can't wait to see what Leah Moore has planned next. She's making her dad (Alan Moore) proud for sure!
JSA vs Kobra: Engines of Faith #1 - Reminds me of Checkmate-lite, only less filling.
BPRD: War On Frogs #3 - Nice little change of view from the main characters, to the lowly foot-soldiers in this war. It was also nice to see a little bit more backstory on Liz in the early War On Frogs days. Overall good issue.
Final Crisis Aftermath: Escape #2 - Ugh, what the hell did I just read?
Buck Rogers #1 - Not the most exciting first issue, but it did it's duty. To be honest, I enjoyed the #0 issue more.
Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter #1 - Never have been a fan of Beta Ray Bill, and after this issue, my opinion of the alien stays the same. Good idea to destroy the planets before Galactus can feed on them, though.
Titans #14 - Didn't even bother reading it, because it had Cyborg on the cover. I think it's safe to say I saved money and time as a result.
Savage Dragon #149 - Story was okay, but I really enjoyed Larsen's art. It continues to remain good looking (unlike my prom date).
Resurrection Vol 2 #1 - I swear I read the exact same issue in volume one, the only difference being this one was in color.
DMZ #42 - Interesting arc ahead. Add Ryan Kelly's gorgeous art, and I'm sold for the next few issues. It's always nice to get away from Matty Roth for a change.
Punisher MAX #71 - Very enjoyable issue! This title has been slowly losing readers since Ennis left, but I can safetly say that this new creative team have me hooked. It reads just like a bad horror movie taking place in the south, but knowing that Frank Castle is involved, things look to be getting intense in the future. Also, gorgeous cover by Dave Johnson. That guy doesn't get enough credit on his awesome covers.
War Of Kings: Savage World of Skaar - Ugh, please don't throw Hulk's son into the mix! I don't care whatsoever about the guy, and this was a pretty weak tie-in issue. Skip it!
Uncanny X-Men First Class Giant-Sized Special #1 - The only thing I liked about this issue was Skottie Young's art. That's it.
Absolution #0 - Is it me, or does it feel like a majority of the superhero titles at Avatar are all about fucked-up heroes? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all their titles that fit that catergory (Black Summer, No Hero), but I just seem to be picking up a pattern.
Anna Mercury 2 #1 - Yes! I'm so happy that this title is back with my favorite redheaded vixen! We need more girls dressing up as Anna at conventions! I demand it! Very enjoyable issue, be sure and tell your friends.
Doctor Who: Autopia - Of all the one-shots, I can see this one being made into an episode. Very simple story, and it was nice to see Donna as the companion.
Star Trek: Wrath of Khan #1 - Yesssss! The adaption of my favorite Original Series movie! Total must-have for me.
Well, that was a totally huge week for comics. What did YOU think was good??

Flash Rebirth #3 - Best of the series so far. it had some cool dramatic moments and the story was good. but what was supes doing there? he's not on earth right now? hmm.. oh well this was good.
Deadpool #11 - Decent issue. not great but decent. the story moved too slow here and seemed kinda weird the way bullseye just let him go at the start.. still it was ok and i cant wait for the next issue. this issue had tons of great action and humour though, so its all good
Uncanny X-Men #511 - A forgetable ending to what was a decent story arc. seemed kinda pointless them heading towards bringing jean back cos we knew they never would. but whatever, the art was ok for once. the writing was good. i cant wait for the next story arc. also its good to have psylocke back.
