iTunes just updated this morning, so I'll be digging in later today. I really liked the first episode, Murd!

Thanks for the plug about BGSU's Pop Culture Library sales. I know the Sound Recording Archives sale is usually in December. I'll have to check on the Pop Culture Library dates. I hope anyone in the area will check us out. We are always looking for visitors or people willing to make donations to the archives!!

Hey Murd, I was listening to the JLA/Avengers 1 footnotes and heard that one of you fav marvel heros were Quasar .... cool stuff, what do you think of them killing him off, major bummer. People don't realize that Quasar lasted 60 issues! Also that Quasar was good friends with Cap and his under study of sorts ... then they kill cap. Man every charcater I like they kill. Anyways I thought the Quantum Bands were pretty cool and Quasar was a cool character.

hey!

again. great episode. I've really been enjoying these, especially since this was about the time that I got back into comics so it's kind of a flash back for me as well. i can remember flipping through Previews from back then and seeing some of these comics.
I also like the history that you throw in about the diffrent characters and the creators because I didn't start really paying attention to the big two until just a few years ago.

I do have to say that I second the suggestion of a co-host. I am actually fine with a single-host show. But, Murd, ya know I like you but the truth is sometimes I think you loose track of where you were going with a thought and kinda ramble a bit and repeat yourself.
On CGS I've found that when you have somebody there to talk to your thoughts are clearer and you are able to make your point more concisely.

Keep it up! Look forward to the next episode.

I have to agree with Katapult. I think Murd is great but he does ramble and give repetitive thoughts at times. Although, it would seem that the idea of having a co host for the show defeats the purpose of the show altogether.

i think that murd having a co-host would totally defeat the purpose of having a show, i mean augie does his show by himself and it is popular so i think this works good show dude

The aside about Clayface turned out to be incredibly useful and timely for me! I picked up the Lego Batman game for the Wii this week, and the in-game bio for Clayface mentions him being former actor Basil Karlo, and though him gaining the powers and look of the Matt Hagen Clayface seemed kinda familiar, I couldn't remember how or when it actually happened. So thanks, Murd!

I mostly agree with you. The only exception would be if he were to talk to someone else who is reading the material for the first time. But really, we're all just tuning in to hear more Murd, right? Great episode! Keep them coming.

Great episode! No need for a co-host!

Just wanted to add that the Wonder Woman issue that you discussed was recently re-printed in "Batman: False Faces," which re-prints Brian K. Vaughn's early filler arcs. There's a pic of Wonder Woman on the cover, but WW fans might not know from the cover that it actually reprints WW #160-161, along with a couple of issues of Batman, Detective, and Batman Secret Files.

Still great, Adam!

To think, when I was faced with the same decision regarding the Flash as you, I made the opposite decision and put it back on the shelf. After having one storyline that lasted almost two years (Black Flash until the end of the Dark Flash), I was just... Flashed out. I didn't pick it up again until the Blitz storyline.

I can't wait until you finish Starman #71, I've gotta know what you think of it.

I also am enjoying these episodes. I don't know that Murd needs a cohost, but maybe a brief outline that he can follow. I was slightly disappointed that he's only doing 2-3 comics per podcast. Surely he's reading more than that! (If not, he'll never get through them.) I'm of two minds, though... One thinks that the talking about each issue should be clipped down so as to get more issues in The other enjoys the free form that comes from not only talking about the issue, but also what was going on at the time. Maybe we can get both. Still talk about the tangential stuff, just maybe tighten it up a bit.

Hey Adam, have you ever thought about announcing which issues you plan to discuss before the episodes air? I wonder if your listeners may want to read along with you.

With all the Star Trek talk of late, any suggestions on Trek comics worth reading?

To ride on Chuck's coattails, what are the chances that the issues you discuss could go into the episode descriptions on iTunes as well?

Adam, since you were talking about your family's Christmas business it got me to wondering: Do you have any selections for the best Christmas-themed comics (superhero or otherwise)?

I want Murd to do a McLaughlin Group style show where he brings in panelists, and shouts, "WRONG!" ever few minutes.
