I'm five minutes in, lovin it already. You have a way with words Adam. Postcards from your past selves, I like that idea.

I wish I could stay away for a few years and let it pile up, cause that would be awesome to have that huge list to read, and not have to 'wait' for the next issue. Maybe when I'm older.

Great idea for an episode! One suggestion, though. Can you put in the text part of the Podcast feed which issues you are discussing, and for how long (like in the iFanboy podcast text)? I would love to follow along with the issues I have read, or are interested in. But, I don't know anything about Planetary, and I don't read Thunderbirds, so I would have liked to be able to skip around.

Great episode Adam! It made me think about Planetary again after quite a long while. I am looking forward to when it will be collected in a nice hardcover that's finally complete. I hope you are looking at Cassaday's current Lone Ranger art - just beautiful.

I stopped reading JLA around the time of the issue you discussed. I don't mind a somewhat paranoid Batman, but I thought this went too far. I also hate the idea that Bruce Wayne is one of the smartest people in the DCU.

Finally, I hope you are buying the current King Tut storyline in Batman Confidential. It's a winner. I look forward to your comments on it sometime around 2016.

Do It Adam!!! Go!!! I really liked the idea of these episodes when they were first mentioned. I am curious though Adam, do you have any kind of map to get yourself caught up? Or are you just doing what you do?

Hey, Murd, it's nice to see you spinning off! I have to say that as you introduced your first show, I couldn't help but imagine you wearing a smoking jacket. I don't know why smile.gif

Just wanted to be slightly off topic and ask that since you don't think teaching is the best career path for you, did you ever consider writing professionally, even just writing a text book? I know you wrote a hell of a lot for Comics Now!

Great episode!

And I think you are selling yourself short, thinking that we wouldn't be interested in things like where you bought an issue and such. You know by now that you guys are like family to most of us, so that makes us (some or most of us, at least) interested.

Now you made Jamie cry. Go stand in the corner, Mario!

Nice work, Murd, really neat idea for a spin-off. I hope it will actually spin off well and prosper. smile.gif

Actually, Adam, as much as I like to hear you solely recite and review comic book issues what makes CGS so great is its discussions, so what I think might be a good idea is to get someone on the mic who gets the dynamics of a comic talk going. Brian and Shane are the best example. I'll hold off my final judgement until I heard more of you (not that my judgement counts), maybe it just works fine and I need to get used to a solo podcast.

I always enjoy Murd’s articulate analysis of comics. I Look forward to future episodes on past comics.
