Post what ya thought!

The Umbrella Academy: Dallas #4 - These final two issues are going to be insane! The art, the story, the dark humor, all of it made this issue fan-fucking-tastic! Lets do the time warp again!

Avengers: The Initiative #22 - The thing I really enjoyed about this issue was all the fighting against Ragnarok. Even if he was busy swatting them all away like flies, it was the Humberto Ramos art that really sold me on this issue. It fit that issue perfectly. And for the end, who wouldn't want to see Ragnarok vs Thor???

Doctor Who: The Whispering Gallery - I enjoyed the on-going Doctor Who series, but it's the one-shots that I find a lot more enjoyable. Add Ben Templesmith's art, and it was so creepily good! I wouldn't mind seeing this issue adapted to an episode.

Green Lantern #38 - All Hal needs to do is get a sex-change operation, then he can easily get the Sapphire ring! Hal Jordan and the Amazing Technicolor Corps. All joking aside, very enjoyable issue. I can't wait to see Sinestro deal with Mongul.

Nova #22 - First of all, I LOVE that Juan Doe cover. If Marvel makes it into a poster, I totally would buy it. Secondly, it's creepy that we find-out the game plan of World Mind. I knew something was fishy! Hopefully Richard gets better in time to put a stop to it.

The Sword #15 - Holy. Shit. If you want a book with killer cliffhangers every issue, The Sword is definitely a non-stop thrill ride. This issue had me pumping my fist into the air, rooting for Dara to kick some ass!

Blue Beetle #36 - Not exactly the series finale I was expecting, but it was a great way to end it none the less. I'm going to miss Blue Beetle, and I know he's apart of the Teen Titans, but lets face it; that series hasn't been good since Johns left. Now comes to big question; sell all my single issue on ebay, and collect the trades? Khaji-Da!

Captain America #47 - What a surprise twist ending! I'm sure Bucky would like to see the return of the Invaders like anyone else, but not under the current circumstances. Thankfully, he has Black Widow as a girlfriend. If my girlfriend was named "Black Widow", I might be very careful when it comes to anniversary dates.

Conan The Cimmerian #8 - It's simple; you have Conan on your side, you're going to win the battle hands-down. However, I can already see that one officer as a Benedict Arnold, and it's only a matter of time before he tries to kill Conan. Great battle scenes, very nice art, Conan is truly a comic that you should be picking-up monthly.

Fantastic Four #564 -
It was...interesting. The only thing I enjoyed about this issue was the cool flying sweaters the kids got at the end of the issue. Hopefully next issue will kick-it up a notch.

Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch #5 - Confusing, weird, and not needed. If you're currently enjoying Jason Aaron's Ghost Rider, there's no need for you to buy and read this mini-series.

Gigantic #3 - I'm really excited to see how this series is going to end. Remender was wise to keep this as a mini-series, and not an ongoing because it's not a complex story whatsoever, easy to follow, and tremendous fun.

Hulk #10 - Lame set-up, will lead to a lame battle. At least the art was pretty to look at.

Jack of Fables #31 - He may be a moron, but at least he has an ounce of sense. Enough to win a war, anyways. While the past arc hasn't been earth-shattering or a MUST-READ, it has been entertaining.

Justice Society of America #24 - I have a feeling that Isis might die again. She seems too mad with power. I really do hope Billy is able to change back by the end of this arc, but at the moment it doesn't look all that great for the JSA. Oh, and as usual, beautiful cover by Alex Ross.

Madame Xanadu #8 - I might be dropping this title if it doesn't start getting better. The first few issues really hooked me, but the whole thing with the Phantom Stranger has me bored and kinda frustrated.

New Avengers #50 -
Norman Osborn is a very clever man. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, I'm sending the pawns in first. Poor New Avengers, they never seem to catch a break when it comes to battling against the Hood and his crew. I really did think it was going to be Dark vs New, but then if you think about it, Dark Avengers JUST launched, so Marvel wants to milk-it for all it's worth until they have to end it with the epic battle.

I'll post the rest later.

I'm just about to record my show for this week. But I'll give short hand reviews here first!

Green Lantern #38: Thrilling stuff! Spoilers after spoilers after spoilers, I liked the further explanation of how the BL rings work. Very good indeed. A top notch title!

Superman #685: Good stuff. Good set up for future issues. Interesting and well writen. awesome front cover too! good issue.

Umbrella Academy #4: Getting into the thick of it now. This is creative stuff, almost exceeding the Mike Allred level of creativeness haha. I really loved this, such great characters. This issue awesome. This story just got majorly exciting!!!!

Avengers: the Initiative #22: Fun issue, I love this series. Ramos' artwork is awesome here, much better than his work in Runaways at the moment. MUCH BETTER. rounding stuff up here, this is fucking exciting! love it.

New Avengers #50: Decent enough I suppose. Well written I'll say that. Billy Tan is a good artist, he is just lazy, cos a lot of panels were just copies and pasted here. I liked the various pages of artwork done by other artists. very good indeed!
Spider-Man was hilarious here!
"Ah, good times!" LOL biggrin.gif

Justice Society of America #24: Old school. I'm not totally on board. If I knew more about these classic characters, I'd probably be into it more than I am. But I just dont dig it, seems like Johns is focusing on GL and not this too much. Understandable, but upsetting.

Nova #22: AWESOME! Worldmind is fucked up.
