Prepare to be Anthologized, WRESTLING COMICS!!! Resistance is ridiculous! Options

OK, so I'm a little nutty at the moment and am totally on this trip of making an anthology of Wrestling-themed comics. If anybody is interested, please email me and I'll give you the shake-down. I've had so many great responses, and I basically want to keep the ball rolling.

The deadline will be May 1st so it can be compiled for MOCCA. If you have any spare time, or want to flex your comics muscles with a nifty little project, please let me know. That's 2 and a half months to do a few pages. It will be so cool!

I have a lot of goals and big plans for this (including getting it picked up by a distributer and into the hands of someone I admire in an almost-stalkerish-but-not-in-a-bad-way way), so if you are interested, e-mail me for the details!

Zane says he is totally willing to wrestle people at MoCCA for you. I suggested if anyone can win a match against him, they get a free comic. He seemed down with that. I'll warn you though, he doesn't have any formal wrestling training.

Well, we need to start training him right away. He can lose a few (to people we know), but I need a ringer!
I guess they'll have folding chairs... so maybe I can intervene if it gets rough.

Well, I'll post the original details here so anyone can send them to a friend.

This might turn into a hefty tome! Or it might just turn into an ongoing series...


DEADLINE: May 1st. I want to have it ready by MOCCA, which is June 6. If you're tabling there, it will be something extra you can sell, and I have a table, so we can sell it there if you're not tabling at the show.

PAGES: I want to keep it 1 to 5 pages per person. If you absolutely need more, let me know. It's no big deal, I just don't want you to burn yourself out or miss the deadline.

CONTENT: Finally! Fun stuff! OK, so this anthology is about wrestling. You can do a story about your favorite wrestler as a kid, or now, maybe you jumped off your roof onto your friend on a table in your backyard and now have permanent brain damage! Lucha Libre, local, mainstream, etc. Maybe you want to do something totally fictional... mermaid wrestling? Basically whatever you want as long as it has some tie-in to wrestling. Everybody I've talked to has an awesome idea, so I'm not too concerned. Basically, have fun(!) and do what you want.

FORMAT: So this will be standard comic-book size. That means 6.625 X 10.25 trimmed size. Basically think of it as 6 X 9. That's the live area and the numbers are so much easier to think about. Nice, round multiples of 3. It will be in black and white... sorry! If you really, absolutely have to have color, uh, let's talk about it. Oh, and 300 d.p.i.

Partly I want it this size in case somebody picks it up (I mean a publisher/distro, not some snot-nosed punk!) That way it's already in a standard format!

FINE PRINT: So any artwork you do will remain your property. I'm just going to put it together. You can reprint it to your heart's content. I don't know how much (if any) $$$ we'll make, but I figure I'll split it evenly amongst everyone that is in the book. Oh, and I don't think Vince McMahon's going to walk into MOCCA, but maybe be mindful of copywritten logos... World Wildlife Federation might come after you...

SO WHAT NOW?: Email me back, saying you want to do it, how many pages you need. If you already have a story idea, I'd love to hear it, but if you're still unsure, don't sweat it. We can always move things around. AND if you have any questions.
