B.P.R.D. The Black Goddess #2 - I really enjoyed the twist that Gilfryd isn't the droid they were looking for. He's the ally they didn't know they needed. Next issue should be nothing but insane battle sequences! Great issue.
Gravel #9 - I really enjoyed the first 8 issues, and this issue makes me excited for the upcoming ones! The way I can sorta describe this series is "Harry Potter for mature audiences". Ellis continues to amaze me with the multiple books he's working on.
Green Lantern Corps #33 - Mongul vs Arkillo? Fuck yes. I'm just waiting for Sinestro to return and scold both kids for making such a ruckus while he was gone.
Thor #600 - I was most pleased that this issue was well worth the $5 price tag. Everything from the epic main story, to the Stan Lee & David Aja story, to the Mini Marvel Thor. Definitely got bang for your buck on this one!
Incognito #2 - Is it possible to marry both Phillips AND Brubaker? I'd make a loving husband to both. I can cook, clean, read all upcoming issues, tell them how much I enjoy their work, etc. Phillips, Brubaker; call me.
Batman #686 - I'm not sure when / where it's taking place, but both story and art restored my faith in this title. Gaiman's tales are such fun reads, and I can't wait for the second issue.
Captain Britain & MI:13 #10 - VAMPIRES LAUNCHED FROM MOON! Certainly the most original idea I've witnessed this year!
Hexed #2 - I think I'm more in love with the art than the story. The art and colors hypnotize me, and make me enjoy every page.
Nightwing #153 - It was a good choice to put Tomasi on Nightwing. Ever since he entered the scene, I've been loving Nightwing again. And this final issue was a great, fitting end to the series (for now).
Stephen Colbert's Tek Jansen #4 - I totally forgot this book existed. I thought by now it was done and in trade format already. I gotta say, this issue wasn't worth the wait. I'll probably skip issue #5 and pick-up the trade when I see it in the 75%-off bin.
More to come later.
