I've been so overwhelmed with school yesterday, that I've only had time to read only a handful of comics so far (it'll be a long night when I get home). However, I did enjoy the format of one comic in particular;
Astonishing Tales #1 - I felt like for the $4 price tag, for once you get some bang for your buck on a Marvel book. I guess Marvel realized that the 2000 AD format really works well, and why not apply it to the Marvel universe? You can constantly introduce new writers and artists on a title like this, much like 2000 AD did. Plus a killer wrap-around cover by Kenneth Roquefort? Hells yes. He also does the art for the Wolverine vs Punisher story. AND Jonathan Hickman art!!! I really liked this first issue, and look forward to the many stories and art to come forth. There's so much promise to this series, that I hope to see it blossom.
More reviews to come later this evening.
Also, I've been in talks with a new web designer, so pretty soon I'll have a page on the site for reviews exclusively (TPBs, Graphic Novels, Top picks that week, etc).

Im glad Tales to Astonish was good, I really wanted to pick it up but was tentative at doing so because I wasnt sure it was going to be good.
I really like the idea of collected short stories in one big comic! Plus if its about characters I love then all the better.
I hope to the skies there are some copies left on saturday! I have a feeling it might be a popular title this week!
