We got a Wii just for the Wii Fit, and that thing is tough!! We don't use it as much as we should, but it really gives you a well rounded workout.

Shane and Brian
I enjoyed the show. It reminded me of getting the Sears "Wish Book" in the mail in October and seeing what were the new toys for Christmas. I look forward to the next episode.

I used to love those Sears catalogs, too. Didn't get it at the house, but my grandparents would always have them. Oh, to be a kid again . . . Instead of being a big kid. Well, now I buy my own toys, so I guess it's better now.

Force Unleashed game is awesome!! I got it for the Wii as soon as it came out. Dark Horse already put out a GN about it, BIG spoilers for the game though.

Looks like the Eyeclops uses real night vision technology, not a flashlight.

I'm looking most forward to the 25th anniversary GI Joe reissues.

Never had a VAMP or the two planes out so far (Conquest and Rattler).

Looking for a BAT action figure...

This is a really fun show guys, and I really enjoyed listening. But I have to ask, Shane, when are you and Murd doing a cartoon podcast? Huh? HUH?

Once again thanks for the show.

I really don't do the whole in-store toy shopping thing these days. It's hard for me to justify spending more money on more effort for less variety (stores in Italy - depending on where you are - are rather different in terms of what's on the shelf). Nothing I tend to buy generally is current anyway except some new Robotech stuff, but those definitely are nto going not be found on shelves.

My pre-1990 3 3/4 - often times cheaper, certainly better (especially the big vehicles) and I don't have to get into potential Camorra feuds beating people off of me in stores.

That said, childhood memories going through SEARS catalogs looking at l the sweet JOE toys (and exclusives!) ? Some of my best memories. Imagining about what you may get was almost as good as getting it and I sued to spend hours rereading description after description.

I better stop now, as I will turn every CGs thread into a JOE thread and consider it progress. happystrange.png

Looking forward to the JO...I mean show!

I haven't looked through one of those catalogs in ages. I don't know how they look these days, but I remember when I was a kid they would have the action figure sections set up as diarama type displays with the toys getting into the action. It made them even more mesmerizing for me.

For now we're going to try to stay on a four week schedule, but there's always a chance we could change that.

The brother on iCarly is named Spencer. And the friend that hepls the girls produce the show is Freddy, not Jeff. And I know that it was mentioned in at least one episode that the father is in the military and currently stationed away somewhere. I've never heard anything abot the mother though . . . And now everyone knows that I watch iCarly . . . damn it . . .

It was in the very first episode, and maybe mentioned once or twice later.

I came here to post the same thing, only to find you beat me to it. My 5 year old loves it, and I think it's fun too.

Another useless trivia. The creator of iCarly, Drake and Josh, and many other shows on Nick is Dan Schnieder, AKA Ricky in Better off Dead, the kid who had the French foreign exchange student living with him, and hated Lane Meyer, played by John Cusak.

My only problem with using a store list like that is it's not a catalog so much as an oversized ad. It's paid space by the toy companies pushing whatever THEY decided should be the hot thing, or just what they really want to sell this holiday. That explains alot of the "I don't know why XX is on this list." It was paid to be there, just like the demo end caps and any other promotional material.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, or even wrong, just to take that into consideration when deciding on if your kid needs that marketing engineered "Must Have Toy."

Is there anything this year that's goingto cause a Tickle Me Elmo type of frenzy?

The Barbie and the Diamond Castle has been making the birthday rounds in my daughter's circle of friends the last few weeks. The movie is actually pretty good. Or at least as good as those movies can be. The songs get repetative and annoying to my 30 something ears quick, but it's perfect for the 5 year olds.

If you have girls, you'll be seeing this for a long time to come.
