But at least at the wedding all the guests bring gifts!
That's right-- I think people going to Supershow should bring Bryan plates and coffeemakers and things. Do it!

A man can never have too many toasters.
Seriously though, Bryan, the man has an idea here. Register at, I dunno, Target or something - you know, someplace where you can register for toys and games, too - and see what people bring! Lots of CGS folks tend to be generous to a fault... maybe you'll get a Wii out of the deal or something!

Surrounded by the craziness of the rest of convention season, the CGSSS lives in the realm of uncertainty.

Oh, I know all about that show. I used to watch it. But I doubt there were over 400 episodes.

Bry
I don't think there were over 40 episodes.
I watched it, but it was bad even for the 70s. I think it was "a little" better than Captain America. The shield was transparent so he could use it as a windshield for the bike, really?

See?
Who wouldn't pay top dollar for, say, a limited edition Katie Cook toaster or Mike Norton indoor grill/panini press?
Clearly David D. and I are the only ones who see the potential here!

I am with you, Bryan, that I am sorry to see the G.I. Joe license move from Devil's Due to IDW. While I am glad that IDW is (wisely) still involving Larry Hama, it is clear that the end of WWIII is the end of the Hama continuity that started with the Marvel Joe books, and got picked up and continued with the Image/Devil's Due and then DDP books, as IDW is getting things in line with the new movie.
I have recently been reading all of WWIII (I read the first 6 as they came out, and then stockpiled the remaining parts and have been reading them on the commutes this week) and it is great. There was clearly a lot of love for the property at DDP and since they took the Marvel continuity on board and published as many issues themselves (or more!) there was all sorts of rich history for the stories to draw on. I just don't know that I can get interested in a slimmed-down, focus-grouped-for-the-masses reboot. Even with Hama scripting.
Now, I could be wrong, and to be fair I haven't read any of the IDW stuff following the new direction, but my concern is that it will just be one of many movie and toy licenses at IDW, as opposed to being the star of the DDP line.

Ha! We got a panini press as a shower gift. She had put it on the registry. To which I had to ask, "We're really going to have paninis that often?"
Of course... if our panini press had a Mike Norton Ted Kord Blue Beetle on it, then maybe I would get more excited about it.
