![]() Collected Comics Library Podcast #171 31,278Kb; 33m 21s http://www.collectedcomicslibrary.com/ Sometimes I can get real ornery, but it takes a lot to get me that way. This week Marvel puts me in a mood. It has to do with their shipping schedule and the changes that have been made. Not only that, but as I run down the New Releases of the Week, some other questions arise from other companies, as to just what the heck is going on with content and price per page. I calm down later on in the show with Greg Rucka’s early work Whiteout. I cover both Definitive Editions from Oni Press, which were published last summer. Please visit my site sponsors: In-Stock Trades, Forbidden Planet International (UK), and Library Binding Company. Haven't listened to the episode yet, but if I put that I heard about LBC from you on my binding slip do you get some extra $$$?

I'm enjoying the Queen & Country Definitive Editions very much.

Seriously I never worked out that kind of "Tell them Chris sent you" arrangement with Jim. I'll see if I can get some sort of code word. Chris -------------------- |

Great episode, sir!
I only have the first Whiteout Definitive Edition and I liked it a lot. Great story. I agree with your assessment on Rucka. He has a knack for writing strong female characters, yet each one (Carrie, Renee, Diana, etc.) has her own 'voice'. I'm surprised that you haven't read the Wonder Woman trades of Rucka's stories. My impression of Carrie's husband: He did die. I think that's another reason why she's on the ass end of the planet. -------------------- Marvel Noise | iTunes | RSS | Forum | 11 O'Clock Comics | iTunes | RSS | 11 O'CC Forum | Comment: 206.312.5239 | Twitter | daprice dot com
